Love After Love - Derek Walcott

The time will come when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

I am so glad you met David, he is dear. Book club - what an idea! :)
Hey, I am thinking about running outside Friday after work - let me know if you are game!

  4. You've got at log of great stuff on your blog. I cannot decide which recipe to try first.

You seem to have a pretty good handle on things, but like me I was really singing the blues about not drinking wine. I will make you appreciate the flavors alot more when you actually get to taste it again.

Keep on the path, it is leading you exactly where you want to go. Namaste.
